Cold weather covers
Many industrial applications require stored liquid to remain warm. In waste water treatment, biological degradation of waste materials is proportional to the water temperature. During cold periods when the ambient temperature falls under the lagoon temperature, retaining the heat helps meet the effluent discharge limits.
Other industrial processes require keeping large amounts of stored liquid above ambient temperature. The cost of maintaining the liquid warm in an open tank or pond can be very high.
The Hexprotect MAX R cover provides an economical way to retain heat, reduce odor and shield the effluent from sunlight. The insulation part of the tile is made of closed cell polyurethane foam and has an insulated value of R 17. The modular nature of the cover makes installation, removal, and maintenance an easy task.
Installation is easy and does not require construction or infrastructure to build and maintain. The U.V. and chemical resistant HDPE Hexprotect tiles withstand sun, rain, ice, snow and wind for an effective service life of over 20 years.
Covering a lagoon has many added benefits besides reducing heat loss.
