Editorial Policy and Evidence Standards

Purpose and audience

AWTT publishes product, application, and engineering-education content for operators, owners, engineers, procurement teams, and researchers evaluating liquid-surface covers. The website supports early screening; it is not a stamped design, permit determination, safety plan, laboratory certificate, or project quote.

Publisher and authorship

Content is published by Advanced Water Treatment Technologies Inc. (AWTT). A page may identify AWTT Engineering or the organization as author when the work is institutional. A named reviewer is shown only when that person has actually reviewed the published revision and has approved public attribution. We do not invent individual bylines or credentials.

Evidence labels

Technical pages distinguish among these evidence levels:

Established mechanism

A physical or process principle supported by authoritative literature.

Independent category evidence

Research on a named cover category under disclosed conditions; it is not automatically evidence for an AWTT product.

Manufacturer specification

An AWTT specification for a named product and configuration, subject to its test method, document revision, and conditions.

Screening estimate

A modeled result from stated inputs and assumptions that should be validated for the site.

Verified case result

A result linked to a public source or a publishable measurement record describing baseline, period, method, and limitations.

Source selection

We prefer current primary and authoritative sources: standards bodies, regulators, government technical publications, original peer-reviewed research, patent offices, and controlled AWTT product documents. Secondary sources may explain context but should not carry a consequential engineering, safety, certification, regulatory, or performance claim when a primary source is available.

A citation supports only the claim and conditions described by that source. Research on a continuous geomembrane, laboratory spheres, disks, biological cover, or another manufacturer’s system is not presented as an AWTT product test.

Numerical claims and units

Consequential numerical claims should identify the product or cover type, configuration, method, test or field conditions, date or revision, and important limits. Technical content uses both SI and U.S. customary units where practical. “Up to” values require a named basis and must not be read as a site guarantee.

Safety, compliance, and certification boundaries

• Modular floating covers are not walking or work platforms.
• Modular covers are not gas-tight and do not replace engineered gas collection or control systems.
• A cover does not guarantee permit compliance, treatment credit, emissions reduction, or wildlife exclusion.
• Documentation for a resin or component does not automatically certify a finished cover assembly.
• Final selection requires site-specific review of liquid, chemistry, temperature, wind, waves, equipment, access, and governing requirements.

Commercial and confidential information

AWTT does not publish product rates, discount schedules, freight formulas, transaction history, payment terms, or confidential customer and project information. Project cost is confirmed only through a written proposal for a defined scope. Public case details are used only when an authoritative public source or explicit publication permission exists.

AI-assisted work

AWTT may use software and AI-assisted tools to search a controlled knowledge base, organize research, identify inconsistencies, or prepare draft language. AI output is not treated as evidence. Claims must be traced to the sources shown on the page or to controlled product documentation. Publication does not imply independent verification or named human review unless the page says so explicitly.

Updates, material changes, and corrections

A substantive review date changes when the meaning, evidence, specifications, or decision guidance changes; it is not automatically advanced on every site build. If specifications conflict, the affected claim is narrowed or withheld until the controlled source is reconciled. Legal warranty terms are summarized only as a convenience; the complete published warranty controls.
